Cologne, June 18, 2014 At its meeting on June 18, the Supervisory Board of Ströer Media AG elected Christoph Vilanek as its new chairman effective immediately. He is replacing Prof. Dieter Stolte, whose term lapsed at the end of the prior period. Prof. Stolte personally requested that his mandate not be extended.

Christoph Vilanek, CEO of freenet AG, has been a Supervisory Board member since 2013. At its meeting, the board noted that Christoph Vilanek's personality and his professional experience make him a suitable candidate for the position of Supervisory Board chairman. This move laid the necessary groundwork for continuity and the continued success of the Ströer Group.
