Dr. Bernd Metzner, 43, will take over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Ströer Media AG effective 16th of June 2014. In his position, he will join CEO Udo Müller and COO Christian Schmalzl to complete the company’s board of management. Metzner comes from the Döhler Group, where he serves as CFO. Prior to that, he held various management positions in finance at Bayer, including global Head of Finance of Bayer Pharma and CFO of Bayer Italia, in Leverkusen, Milan and Berlin.

Bernd Metzner, 43, studied business at the University of Siegen. After receiving his PhD and starting his career at Flick Gocke Schaumburg, he held various management positions in finance at Bayer. His responsibilities included coordinating the spin-off and IPO of Lanxess. Since mid-2011, Bernd Metzner has served as CFO at the Döhler Group, a family company.
